New Best and No Wheel Stand!
Maple Grove Raceway Saturday September 28. DA=+1260' Added solid motor mounts from Steve Spohn (we have been working on these for a while), put in suspension limiters and tightened the shocks to position 12.
60' 1.340
1/8 6.409
MPH 105.78
1/4 10.143
MPH 130.83
One thing that became apparant was that I still need some converter work. This run I short shifted second. The converter is stalling at 6000. Going to move it down by 700 rpm.
I also set a new best MPH: 10.175 @ 131.37
Sould have bracket raced. Ran 10.175, 10.174 and 10.175 three passes...
Maple Grove is typically 0.2 and 2 mph slower than Cecil County so I am expecting a good 9 second pass soon.

Congrats Mikey, glad to see you car running so well. 9' soon buddy. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />
Where did you get the suspension limiters, Summit? What is the part number?
I was thinking either solid motor mounts or a motor plate. What do you think? Do you need motor mounts at all with the plate?
Anyway sorry for all the questions but I figured I would ask the WHEEL STAND KING. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />
Good luck
Tom

Re: New Best and No Wheel Stand!
Barry, the pan works well! Weight of the care is 3340 with me in it. Still not a light weight.
The suspension limiters are home made. All parts from hardware store.
Front shocks are set to 12. Rears at 6.

Re: New Best and No Wheel Stand!
Thanks alot, Mikey! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Mad]" src="gr_images/icons/mad.gif" /> <img border="0" alt="[jester]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_jest.gif" />
Now you've got me thinking about my own combo again, and I'm going to play the tranny swap game again!
I guess it will be time to call Madman and bug him with suspension setup questions again. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />
Seriously though, congrats! Awesome 60' time. Glad you got the launch calmed down now.
