Question i need to get this cam...

where can i get it/ get the best price for a 228/228 114. it seems like a pretty mild cam compared to what ive been seeing. i've also been thinking of getting a 230/230 114, any inputs on either.

I'd go with a Futral Motorsports 228/228 112. They produce some awesome cams!

Ok, well order it on a 114. Do a search on Futral motorsports if you haven't heard of them. Their cams make some very impressive #'s!

Our cams are $399.00. The F10 (228\228) seems to do very well, most cars with average bolt-ons and good tuning will dyno 390-400 rwhp cam only. We just installed one of these in an '03 ZO6 ,dynoed 373\371 before cam with LG headers and X-pipe,catback,Vararm intake and our previuos tuning. After the swap dynoed 421\404 with a little more tuning. Thats 48 MORE HP than the ZO6 cam.

We also had a cutsomer in Atlanta dyno 408+ I believe with our tuning and good bolt-ons.

a 228/228 will not pass CA smog. There is a slight chance it will with one hell of a tune, but I wouldn't risk it.

im going to see if i can get my base sticker updated to match the date i leave CA when i get back from deployment. If i can do that, then i will not worry about it, but if i cant...then im gonna pray whoever tunes it does one hell of a job. Im thinking of taking it to keith craft cause they're like maybe 10 mins away from where i live

Call and speak to Lydia. She normally answers there phones. They have the best CS in DFW. They do not have a web admin working for them. Pretty much pay some one to do work for them on it as a on the need basis. I watched a car Dyno a few weeks ago with the exact cam you are looking for. Believe he had stock heads. 390/415 was his best pull. That is with a PT4000 as well. They've got the cam and if you are in DFW they will install and tune and do it top notch. Let me know if you want more info on them.
