Another night of racing in Thunder Trim- 11.38 Cam Only, Nitto's, 3500 lbs
I went to State Capital Dragway tonight to try and dial in my setup for the upcoming Thunder shootout on Nov 2.
The car had a raceweight very close to 3500 pounds (within 20 pounds for sure), drag radials, and open borla exhaust. Allan@FMS bumped up my shift points earlier in the week and everything seems good now.
Running against my sister I ran a new Drag Radial best:
1.568 11.381@118.23
The second best pass of the night was:
1.61 (spun at the top of 1st) 11.44@118.34
I'm happy to say the least. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />
118 mph at 3500 pounds proves the power my setup is making, and it also proves to me that I dont have to gut the car to run killer times <img border="0" alt="[Fluffy]" title="" src="graemlins/fluffy.gif" />

Thanks Guys.
Jason, Jessica ran an 11.2x@120 or 121 on the pass against me. Of course the printer was messed up so we got single hand written slips instead of printed ones. When I left she was in the semi finals of Bracket Racing.

Congrats. You have your car dialed in great.10s on cam only for sure.
How do you like the 4:10s? I need a carrier and a gear swap and would like your opinion.
I lost your e-mail addy or I would have sent you some gear ration Qs.TIA

That is so cool, congrats!! You cant ask for much better than that with the added weight and nittos... I think 10's cam only will be yours.

Congrats Mike on the runs ..Like Tim said your car is going to be hard to beat at the shootout..If you don't mind me asking how much air were you running in your BFG's..I'm running the same tire now (275-50-15) and I'm not going to get a chance to run before the shootout so I need to get a starting point once I get there on the 2nd...
Congrats again..

Thanks for the kind words <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />
jfm, I think you should go with 3.73's or 4.10's for your new combo. I'm happy with my 4.10's by all means.
Tim Legross, I'm running nitto 275/60 15. I have no experience with BFG's. None the less, I had 17 psi in them on the 1.56 60 foot pass. When I dropped the pressure to 14 psi last night the car spun at the top of 1st gear. I'm not sure about your BFG's, but I am finding less pressure isnt necessarily the key (on my car with my setup).
