I would like to say thanks to Geoff, Angie, and Joe for reviewing their decision regarding my disqualification. I have the upmost respect for thier professionalism and honesty. It was relieving to associate with people who can put aside any differences and communicate in a mature manner. I am excited to be reinstated as the SS/M class winner and I'm looking forward to next years event. Congratulatins to the whole THUNDER RACING staff for promoting a well organized and exciting event. I'm sure next year will be even better.

I think that the reinstation should be further looked at by a Cylinder Head Specialist. I know from being there this weekend that the heads are not stock. With the MPH and ET he was running, there is no way that an LT1 car was that fast without something being illegal. Everyone in the SS/M class wants to have this looked at. We all spoke about this on Saturday and everyone agreed that something fishy is going on here. I will bet that if you send these heads to SAM or MTI that either Judson, Casey or the head guy at MTI will be glad to let you know what is up. I will pay shipping to have them sent there. I know that Joe K. was telling everyone that Brandon had touched the pockets on the heads. AND GOING BY THE RULES THAT IS ILLEGAL AND HE SHOULD BE DISQUALIFIED. Someone else agree with this?

I don't see how you can say that an lt1 can't be that fast with just a cam. There were several cars there that weekend that showed that a cam only car can run if set up right. Frank95Z 11.6x at 114 on stock heads, Ken95Z - 11.8 at 112(?) on a hotcam and stock heads. There are things you can do to get the max performance out of your setup. Brandon did that and it showes in the way the car runs. Who would have though that a 355 lt1 car with stock ported lt1 heads with the stock valve seats(2.0, 1.57 valves) could run 11.03 at 124.25. If the heads were pulled and inspected by the organizers of the event then we can take their word for it. I know brandon had a valve job..which wasn't against the rules of the race. Did you happen to see his driving? That boy can row some gears. He is getting everything out of the car..it shows.

I would like to know why Joe K. changed his mind. I was at the winners circle when he told some of the sam crew that he had touched his heads in an illegal way and that was against all rules. I was there to see his drive and he cannot cut a light. I have seen LT1 cars run with stock heads faster than he is. My point was that everyone there know that is not the original motor in that car. One of his good buddys told some of the others in the class that he just put that motor in the car and that he knew the heads were not legal. All I am saying is that why would you change your ruling the day after. The ruling from yesterday should stand with his disqualification. I along with the others in the class would like an explination of the ruling change. He did touch the heads and everyone knows it.

Geoff Skinner of Thunder Racing inspected them this morning (11-04-02) and concluded there was no other work past the valve seat. He was very professional with his inspection and even had a known stock LT-1 cylinder head to compare side by side.

p.s....Send me $1500 and I will ship you the whole engine as is and you too can have the potential to run 11.80's at 118mph. But don't be mad when you find out that it is a bunch of stock junk with the oil pickup floating in the bottom of the pan.

What I still want to know is why Joe K. original decision is not standing. That makes it look like TR does not know what is going on. As far as the rest of us in the SS/M class are concerned the winner of our class is the 2002 T/A you beat in the final round and everyone else that competed against you.
Congrats to you 2002 T/A. You deserve it the most.

I was in one of the cars in the class. I will not call attention to myself or the others which know what is going on. Lets see what Joe Kizzire says before I tell you who I am. I will tell you this. I do know a little something about cars.
