EVO Vs camaro LT1 I know this isnt an LS1 story, but ive been lurking for a few weeks, and i guess its my turn to get to know everyone.
So this is a story of revenge for me. Several months ago i owned a 2003 tiburon which i had piloted to the fastest documented NA tiburon in the states. 14.17@95 with 1.90 60 foot. I felt like it was decently quick and i was never too shy or arrogant to turn down a race. One day as i was coming home from work, i see a slightly modded LT1 camaro on the interstate. The only mods i could see were an exhaust, and (not really a mod) a primered grey hood with ss style hood scoop. I pull up next to the guy and match his speed and he goes for it, i pulled for about .2 seconds then he walked past me. Usually im laughing as i get passed cause i love getting beat as much as i love winning. But this guy was a complete dick as he was passing me. shaking his head back and forth like i wasnt worth the time, and mouthing things as well. I took the loss, and brushed off his bad sportsmanship as another asshat that thinks he's the ****.
Fast forward to saturday evening, I am leaving my Fiance's brothers baptism and i see this guy again! I was so excited cause now i had my EVO and i wanted to race him again so bad. I would have loved to go from a stop, but i knew that wouldnt happen cause there were no lights. So i start to follow, and theres a clearing in traffic. He floor it before i can even get even or downshift, so im at a 1-2 car disadvantage already. Starting about 60 mph i sh ift to 3rd and go for it. I pull easily on me, and decide to return the gesturing as i walk past him. Me and my fiance both waved bye bye as i passed him and pulled at least one more car by the time i shut down. I continued to manhandle this guy over and over at least 3 more times. I pulled even with him one last time and he mouthed "spray" I think. And i laughed and made my exit. This was quite possibly the most satisfying event of my entire weekend. since i spent $45 on race gas and entrance fees to the dragstrip that night hoping for a high 7's pass only to get 2 runs in, one on steet boost and one on race boost. Screwing up the race boost run with a missed shift.

That's allright I met a guy boasting about his LT1, until he asked me what I drove.
When I mentioned the words 2002 Firehawk, his tune changed. So, theres some guys that are asshats and others that are cool.

How about someone from here goes over to the Evo forum and posts about whooping a douschebag driver in an Evo?? You can bet they wouldn't like that, and you'd be banned in about 2 minutes.
Yet, for some reason around here, ricers are welcomed in to come and start ****. Amazing.
