Default Killed a Lotus Esprit SE Turbo....Doesn't sound fast, but it is

On the way up to the strip at Union Grove "Great Lakes Dragaway", came up on a White Lotus Turbo (like this one):

PERFORMANCE
Max speed:
165 mph/265km/h
Acceleration
0-100 km/h/0-60mph: 5.0/4.7secs
0- 160 km/h/0- 100mph: 11.9secs
Fourth gear
80-120 km/h/50-70mph: 3.8secs
110-150 km/h/70-90mph: 4.8secs
Fifth gear
110-150 km/h/70-90mph: 6.5secs
140-180 km/h/90-110mph: 7. 1 secs

Old dude driving was pretty cool- he had a buddy in the car and probably didn't know about the power of the LS1 ... I downshifted into 4th at like 4,7XX rpm, he heard the car and just left without any honks or anything- I went at the same time... I started pulling on him hard at about 5100 rpm in 4th, and we took it up to about 120 where I shut down (I think I was about 7-10 lengths ahead-then in 5th gear). He caught up and gave me the thumbs up . He stayed with me in my Z, my buddy Ryan in his 4mula M6 and my buddy Jon in his 02 WS6 for a while, right around the exit for the Grove, we came upon a smorgasbord (sp.) of performance metal (a 90 or so Porsche 928S4, an 03 M3, and an 02 WRX.) I was so excited for the **** that was going to go down, that I overshot the exit. I can only dream what would've happened if we had kept going.

Cliffs notes:

Killed a pretty fast Lotus Esprit Turbo.

Witnessed a bunch of fast cars all in close proximity on a pretty wide open highway I294, IE:

03 M3
90 928 S4
02 WRX
91 Lotus Esprit
95 Formula M6
My 00 Z
02 WS6 (stall, nittos, hooker LT's, BBK TB, Chokemaster)

Missed my exit because I wanted a piece of the M3 and P-car. Too bad...

JK, bro, JK..... I like bump better than pity- anyway.

D2K2, I'll see what i can put together with the Fluffer pics... I don't know if I can come up with anything funny. I'll try, though. Thanks for the praise.

I'd be happy to look in our stock photo archive, if you need material for Fluffer's pix.

Lemme know. I just had to refill their food bowl, Fluffer dumped it over. What a little tart.

Good kill.
LOL I think that is a first. This seems kind of like a thread phantomws6. He could post killing 6 Ferrari's back to back and 2 people would post in his thread. LOL

Good kill. You don't see many Lotus' on the road nowadays.

*edit* All hail Fluffer

The number of replies thing is tricky.
As mentioned by '99, you can have some douche post about killing a Hyundai get 3 pages, while a Lotus kill like yours goes unreplied.
Mike (Phantom) will usually post a thread bitching about his noreplies and then will get his 2 pages worth.
Nice kill!

The reason why phantom doesnt get any replies is because nobody likes him
