total bonehead moment...
i opened my hood with my wipers sticking up while waxing. broke the passenger side clear off after i oh so gently tried to bend it back. lame.
nothing i could do about it after the fact, so i just tried to brush it off best i could. at least it didnt scratch the hood, the marks it left came right off.
i did a search and was amazed at all the other posts about the exact same thing. at least i aint the only airhead.
you people that have taken off the wiper arms with battery cable pullers, what store did you get them from? i got a cheap *** p.o.s. from the place i always swear i'll never go to again, pep boys. and go figure, it broke trying to budge the arm off... (why the overkill? my old 2nd gen arms were cake to get off)

you can try putting the nut back on the stud, but not tight, just get it started. and use one hand to pull up on the wiper arm and tap on the stud with a hammer. But dont hit the glass!!!! But if you dont feel comfortable dooing that then I would suggest getting a terminal puller from either a Snap on dealer, Sears (craftsman) or any other tool salesman. But you are looking at spending about $50 for a good set.

ahh, craftsman. i'll head to sears tomorrow. i tried the nut threaded onto the stud and tapping trick, even used yellow can liquid wrech and tapped it while trying to use the el-cheapo puller and it didnt budge. i just need a decent puller, and imo its better to wait for the right tool than bust my glass having a bonehead relapse...

i've done it as well. Cracked my windshield but good. yes mr insurance agent... it was a rock while i was going down the highway. Then the guy who replaced it did a shitty job and it was all misaligned. you could see paint between the t-top and the windshield. this was all on my old v6. Oh well, lesson learned. Oh and i noticed when i bought my '02 there's an insert in the manual about it.

I broke the windshield on my friend's 02 SS that he had only 1 Month. We were detailing it, I started opening the hood and hear the worst sound in the world...and my pocket started feeling very much lighter...that sucked.
