Win or lose, it's the people you race that makes it fun.

its cool...i also have drive a Z06...two different beasts....

Z06= power all at once but no top end
Supra= no power at all, but once boost kicks in, its whiplash time...

Man, cool story. There's gotta be at least 40 black T/A's on here though. Might want to specify your location.

Sorry man, but the LS1 and LS6 especially, has crazy top end. It's just not the same feeling as going from nothing-to-all out. The LS6's power is there from the beginning, but just keeps going all the way to redline, so it feels like a constant pull. Yes, the ZO6 most definitely has top end.

I think what he was getting at, is that there is no comparing the top end of the Z06 to how hard a seriously boosted Supra pulls at its top end. Hence I try to race any of those guys from a dig, where I have a chance...

My 99 FRC vette went 170mph bone stock in a 1 mile straightaway before I had to slam on the brakes for a turn. Yeah, it has no top end.

I know Duy and his Supra and Z06...and what he means is there is no comparison to a 700hp Supra and a 405hp Z06!!! You would simply have to see his Supra. We went on a cruise 2 months ago. His tranny was screwed in the Supra. We were suppose to get some top end runs done and even with a screwed tranny...the Supra still pulled its *** off. I guess that is what 30psi will do for ya!! Now that the tranny is all fixed....the fun will begin!! The Z06 is definitely a nice car, but he prefers to drive the Supra...I wonder why???

umm i think the point he is trying to make is that the supra goes from slow to a pull near the top end because of the boost it starts to create...in short the supra goes from nothing to something...and the ls1 goes from something and keeps on climbing...not saying either is better than the other..since with the right work both will out do each other...just makes power a different way

^ I get what you're saying. But in SC300's post, he never said he owned a ZO6 along with his Supra, and never said his Supra was highly modified, so I saw it as he was comparing his Supra (didn't know if it was stock or modified) to a ZO6, which, stock for stock, would blow the Supra out of the water, and both have great top end, but the ZO6's power is felt through the whole rev range, so you won't notice the kick up top like you would in a Supra.

Not meaning to argue or cause anything, cuz SC300 sounds like a pretty cool guy; I just wasn't gettin' the whole scoop when I read his post.
