Lemme see your hoods... I have a black 98 TA and am seriously considering an aftermarket Ram Air Hood

I'd like to see some WS.6s and Raptors and opinions on which looks/fits better!

I have the Raptor hood and the quality is good. I painted the grille inserts bright silver to make the nostrils more obvious.

ive been considering a new hood as well. i really like the raptor. its more subtle from the side, but still agressive from the front, and its flows just as good as a regular ws6 hood

The Raptor is a copy of the Firehawk's hood. Which is fine. I think it flows better from all angles. It doesn't block your view. Which is nice since visability isn't the best in these cars. As far as from the front I think it looks better than the WS.6 hood due to the fact that it doesn't look out of place. The scoops on the WS.6 hood are stuck on there and it looks funny with the two open slits under the hood that are a different shape. Since they aren't all symetrical it just looks weird.

So my vote is for the raptor.

The Raptor hood bulgers and nostrils are much more pronounced and aggressive looking compared to the Firehawk hood. The difference is very noticeable when comparing the two side by side. The Raptor also doesn't have the heat extractor slats on the top of the hood, they are on the rasied part that faces the cowl.
There's another hood made by US Exotics that is even more raised.

I always thought the raptor hoods looked funny, until I saw that pic with the silver grille insert.

Damn that might make me give up my T/A hood. Never liked the WS6's but that Raptor w/grilles is sweet. Maybe after I spend money on Nitrous and a verter

Anyone have pictures of the Firehawk hood and Raptor hoods side by side? From that frontal pic of it before they looked about the same. I didn't look at the air extractors though.
