Default MagnaFlow is BAD ***.....

Just installed this system on my rommate's car. Sound is pretty incredible for a stock car with cats. I've been through probably 10 catbacks on my own car, and aside from my Hooker catback this is the best sounding exhaust i've ever heard on a stock LS1. Sounds better than all the 600-800 dollar catbacks too

Just a FYI for anyone considering this exhaust.

I replaced my stock Z28 setup with the Magnaflow muffler, new 2.5" tailpipes with FastToys Stainless Steel Z28 tips and I love it! Just the sound and performance I was looking for.

The exhaust is already broke in. I bought is used here on the board.

Madice, how much rasp do you have with that setup and no cats? My rommie was curious about the rasp once we pulled the cats..

I love mine as well. And crazy cheap too.

Putting the muffler on, I thought it was going to be insanely loud. You can see right through the muffler!

But when I started it up, it was very quiet. Didn't get much louder over the break in period either.

Oh well, LT's and an ORY will probably cure that.

Just installed the Magnsflow cat back, LT's and off road y-pipe. At idle it sounds sweet. Deep tones and you can really hear the cam at 112 lsa. At WOT is sounds insane! I do hear rasp, but it is not terrible. Only problem is I think it attracts a lot of attention when you are above 4K. Keeps me well behavied, well kind of, lol...

I did open the cut-out and it was a lot louder especiall at idle.

I would highly recommend it. Can't beat the price and its stainless.

It is a badass catback. Im not too crazy about the tips, but for a stainless system with a polished muffler.... It rocks. I got one for my Dads car from RX and it sounds good!

I think it's somewhere around 300-350 new?

BTW, there is no such thing as a 1993 SS

The Magnaflow on my truck with the headers and cats sounds AWESOME!! Nice quiet deep rumble at idle and all hell breaks loose when you hit the throttle.

I agree with LS1-AL on the huge tip though, mine has a single 4" tip that is just a little too big. I let it get dirty and have never cleaned it so it's less noticeable.

The exhaust sounds excellent though. Cheap too for a stainless setup.

I got mine for $300.00 out the door a couple of years ago. It sounds great, although it is a bit quiet. I need to get some headers to remedy the problem, so I can make small children cry.
