Default 10.86 @ 125.94 w/ M6 hydralic heads/cam car

I decided to take my car to the Clash of the Titians this weekend to get some runs in with my new MMT heads/cam setup. I wanted to get some shakedown runs in before the Spring Break shootout next weekend.

We put this new heads cam package on my car last week and got it to make 457/414 with a set of MMT S2 heads and the M2 camshaft. We were very happy with the results, but wanted to see what the car would do at the track. We put a set of 4.56's in the 12-bolt and slapped some 28's on the car and headed to the track. The raceweight of the car was 3400 with me in it.

1st pass

60ft 1.49
330ft 4.50
1/8th 6.98
MPH 99.03
1/4 10.91
MPH 125.80

2nd pass

60ft 1.52
330ft 4.52
1/8th 6.99
MPH 99.14
1/4 10.91
MPH 126.08

I was very happy with the MPH the car was putting down with such a heavy raceweight, but I really wanted a 10.8X time slip. I knew I was only gonna get one more run so I gave it hell on the launch.

3rd pass

60ft 1.48
330ft 4.46
1/8th 6.94
MPH 99.00
1/4 10.86
MPH 125.94

Needless to say I am very very pleased with how the car is running right now. I am hoping to get into the 10.70's next week at the shootout. I will have some vids to post up Monday.

Wow there has been quite a few hyd. h/c cars in the 10's here lately. It makes me anxious to get my rear and head to the track. Its making me think more about getting 4.56's and 28" tire also.
What are the specs on the cam and what style of heads are you using (ls1,ls6 or 5.3)?
Very nice runs BTW.

Thanks for the complements.

The car has LS1 heads on it that have been milled .035. They have 2.055/1.60 valves.

The specs on the cam are 228/234 .607/.598 110 +2. This cam picked up 28 rwhp over my old F1 with no other changes .

My car has always been a heavy pig, it weighs 3700 in street trim. To run any kind of timeslip we knew we would have to get quite a bit of weight outta the car.

We pulled.....

-both bumper supports
-both front seats, put a Sparco in it
-exhaust
-swapped in a Tubular K-member
-A/C
-and Welds

This got me down to 3400 which still isn't light, but that is as far as I was willing to take the car at this point, it is my daily driver

Mir,

We are gonna make a few more trips to the track with the car as it sits to see if we can go any faster Then we will put the 4.11's back in the car and see if we can spray our way into the 9's........We will see.
