Help me lose 3 tenths!!!!

Help me lose 3 tenths!!!!
I'm itching to get into the 10s on motor. Right now I'm considering a header swap. My last raceweight was 3425, and I don't want to go much below that, since I can't afford any wallet weight reduction right now. Check my sig out, and throw out any opinions you can, even if it's a bigger cam. FWIW, I talked to Nick at Kooks today regarding exhaust setup. I have that base covered, but I'm lost besides that. Any help is more than appreciated.

Loose that cam, definetelly...lol
I dont know man, we could always take the dash out, and i'm sure there is other things...I'm sure the new headers will help, and maybe that shifting problem...
P. S. I'll take that cam though

Ryan, get the new clutch in there. Pull both seats out of the car and replace the drivers seat with a 40 dollar Summit Racing seat. Remove the front bumper support (temporarily ofcourse ) and remove the entire exhaust from the car and run a set of 18" extensions off the headers. That would put you DAMN close IMHO. Well over 100lbs weight reduction, a few ponies picked up from the exhaust and the clutch would give you a solid tenth from what I could hear from your shifting the other day. BTW, everything I listed is free and able to be reinstalled so what are ya waiting for...
BTW, keep that cam dude!! You are hauling *** and the motor is fully tuned for your set up. GOodluck man.

Re: Help me lose 3 tenths!!!!
I agree Ron. Didn't think about having to get retuned Also, good idea about the Summit seat and exhaust I think I'm sold on the new Kooks headers. My guess is, and others have suggested, that the SLPs need to go bye bye. Know anybody that wants 'em?

Re: Help me lose 3 tenths!!!!
I'm with Ron. Drop that exhaust off and you'll be saving some weight - and maybe make a few more ponies, but the weight is key. You could also go with the full tin-can look How bout stepping up to some real gears - like some 5.xx gears...haha.

Re: Help me lose 3 tenths!!!!
Ryan, I would definately ditch the SLPs. What did Kooks have to say? Shoot me an email if you get a chance. I plan on revving quite high with my new motor and if theres something to help me out Im all for it.
Also, dropping the exhaust will be good for about 10 rwhp up top, maybe more considering you have SLPs. The catback and Y pipe have to be close to 65 or 70 lbs. Thats almost a tenth in just weight. 10s are doable with your setup man.
