JerFlash - I think I used that same kit (summit 2.5 X kit), but mine are dumped. I put in jethot headers and magnaflow cats. All I can say is that it was a huge pain in the ***. If youre not going to use cats it will be much easier to have some clearance. What headers are you mounting up to? I also got the flowmaster 3" to 2.5" reducers, which look like they flow well. My d/s header is tucked up way closer to the floor board vs. the p/s header. I needed to cut up a couple of mandrel bends and weld up a compound curve. Plan on spending alot of time with a grinder and a welder to get it all worked up.
If I were to do it all over, I think I would use a catted Y pipe, but shorten the Y merge and immediately bolt on another y merge to split it back into two 2.5" pipes. This would effectively make an X pipe. I would run the two 2.5" pipes both down the passenger side of the driveshaft tunnel. I would then have both 2.5" pipes go over the passenger side of the axle. I think I'd run bullets to a custom CME in my Z.

The back part of an under the axle TD setup isnt really whats hard. I just find it to be a little impractical since im constantly lifting the car. Thats why I would want to go over. Before I cut my setup back down to just dumps, I did have an over the axle setup. The driver side is quite a pain in the ***. Thats why I would run both over the passenger side of the axle.
The two hardest parts of true duals over the axle and out the back are:
1.) Fitting the cats in before the X pipe. Theres not much room to work inthere, and it really compromises ground clearance. My solution is to use a catted Y pipe which already has allthe R+D pit into squeezing the cats into the tight places and getting the Y up as high as it will go.
2.) Going over the driver side of the axle. My solution is to run both pipes over the passenger side axle where theres plenty of room to work, and you dont have to remove the upper PHB.
These are just my ideas of what I would do if I could do it all over again. Knowing now what I learned doing it the first four tries. Next time I have some money burning a hole in my pocket, Il probably do this.
good luck,
