<img src="http://www.slowls1.com/onetawheel.jpg" alt=" - " />
Ill let him post the details, but figured even this is worthy of a LS1 drag racing section. Watch out LS1 big boys, this sucker is creepin up on us <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

Congrats Joe. I saw the runs.
but how can we call it an LT1, i mean the throttle body is on top and it has like 15 degree heads, its more like a bow tie block then an lt1. Are they LT1 heads. If so thats great but if not then its isnt an LT1. Great runs, but just looking for clearification.

Re: Joe Overton runs 9.8 NA in his LT1 TA
surely on the clarification
94 issue Lt1 block
afr 227 Lt1 reverse cool heads
adapted conventional efi intake
stock 94 opti-spark <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" /> (that should raise some eyebrows)
what else you need to know? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />
thanks guys for the props ...

Joe, you sure it isnt a LS1 under the hood <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

Re: Joe Overton runs 9.8 NA in his LT1 TA
You guys are way out in center field , i know joe well and know his motor from top to bottom , some of the parts in his motor came from me , and i can ashure you that motor is a LT1 it has """""23 DEGREE"""""" reverse cooled AFR 227 heads and opti spark , hell the block in the car is even matching numbers , its the same block he rolled that car off the show room with . Why do you guys find it so hard to believe that a well built , well tuned motor can perform ??? Just because it isnt a LS1 ????? the motor is a great well thought out combination and i can understand why joe withholds some info on his motor , otherwise EVERYONE would have a 9.86 running LT1 , thats racing """deal with it """ but dont accuse it of being a 15 degree headed motor , thats you LS1 guys

I guess that iron block was standard Fbody issue <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />
Lets not go there again, Joes car is more production or gm part numbered than alot of the upcoming fast LS1 stuff <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

accell gen7+, shifting.. I'm still varying to see what works best this past saturday i had shiftlite set at 7400 ran 9.86/9.88 set it at 7200 ran 9.89 so next time i may try going up to 7600 just to see if it helps..motor will spin to 8k+ question is if i need to go any higher than 7400 or not..

Congrats, that's a killer ET for an N/A small block LT1.
For the guys who are in the dark, LT1's have been running 9's before LS1's were even on the dealership lots <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />
