Default Woodward GTO winning over BMW fans

http://forum.e46fanatics.com/showthread.php?t=191272

The first time I saw the Woodward GTO I thought it reminded me of a BMW with the short overhangs and Fender Flares. Well look at the comments from folks on the e46 BMW board. Other than a dislike for the Circa 1970 Exhaust tips everyone seams to really like this car.... some have even said this is what the 6-series should have looked like!

...and it has production potential (sans the carbon fiber, smoked lenses, concept engine and exhaust).

Build it GM, built it!

I'd buy one in a heartbeat if I had the money for it.

That's the way it should have been built in the first place. Absolutely beautiful.

Ditto!

I love the bulging quarter panels and intakes.

Now if the GTO looked like that when it came out i would've bought one. I'm thinking about buying one now just because they're cheap.

Is that what everyone said about the Judge back in the days of the original?

Even if it costs $50k? If the Ram Air 6 (this car) costs CTS-V money I'm out. I'd rather have a regular GTO for substantially less and use some of the savings on mods.

i dont think gm would sell that for 50k. thats out of the price range for the age of the potential buyers. they are trying to market this to the younger crowd (like people who would have bought the fbody). probably the age between fbody owners and vette owners. 50k...not worth it. 40k...maybe. 30k...yes!

40k...very likely. They don't even MSRP regular GTOs at 30k.
