magic stick vs. trex
I want a big *** cam that pulls like a mother f*cker. My tr224 actually makes decent power at 403 rwhp but I want a bigger cam. I know these cams will make good power but what cam would be better. See mods in sig. The magic stick is on a 113 so it might be alittle more streetable but the trex makes CRAZY power. Pros and cons of both please!!

Just cause cam X is on a 113 and the other is on a 110 dosent mean alot. You have to break it down and find out how many degrees of overlap the cam has. for example a 224/224 on a 112 has the same overlap as a 228/228 on a 114. Also, do you plan to get heads, and if you dont plan on changing cams will it work with the heads. How far are you willing to spin that motor and will it hold. That T-Rex is gona like the 7k mark, so you might want to upgrade rod bolts too.

You'll definitely need to spin your motor higher then you want to with the T-Rex to get the most out of. The MS3 can make some insane power as well, won't need to spin to 7k to get there, but close. These huge cams will need the higher rpms either way. They all do.

you've said you prolly won't spin it past 6800-6900rpms...which is where this cam makes some serious power. Fireball shifts at 7k with this cam. thats the one thing that keeps me hesitant from suggesting you get this cam. unless you change your mind about revvin it to the higer rpms. bump your rev limiter to 7200 and shift @ 6800-6900, and you'll love her. get some ARP rod bolts just to be safe

You don't necessarily have to spend 2k on some heads, several sponsers offer them for less than $1500. You should definately look into the FMS Ron Jeremy Cam (nickname). Its a contender, and I'm hoping to prove it with my next trip to the track. Any of the cams will do well though. I think data has shown that the t-rex slightly outperforms the magic stick, though.
Good Luck,
