Default no worries about the big hole in the crank...

hey yall...i called a buddy of mine that knows about as much as i do about corvette motors and he and i came to the conclusion that i'll need a new one since there's a 24mm hole in the crank. i also found out that i'll need a 1/4" hole for the pin instead. I figured with this new motor i'll just build it up outside of the car since i have some sick mods to do. I hope to be turning about 9,000 rpm when i install it and get it tuned. i think i'm going to make my own pistons and cam in my machine shop. well, just wanted everyone to know i'm in good shape now and my vette will be back in order shortly.

Does anyone know much about briggs & stratton motors? I'm doing a little side project with a 12horse and cant figure out how to get this ether injection from not catching on fire everytime....

here's what i did...i rigged up an aerosol can to the carb and managed to get it to spray when i put the lever on full throttle. that way i have have maximum cutting power when i get to the tall grass. for some reason the can catches on fire. the engine runs hard like i want it to but getting singed wasn't the most pleasant thing. quite frightening actually.

Hey, do you remember when you showed me your air compressor you rigged up? What ever happened with that? Did it blow up yet?

He took an air compressor, and modified it so it wouldn't automatically cut off when the pressure got real high. He had it running one time for quite a while, the gauge was pegged over and the motor was stressing real bad. I thought the damn thing was going to blow up. What ever happened with that? Please, do tell.

yeah, i finally got that 3phase 10 horse motor hooked up to that pump and it blew the whole pump unit off the top at the fitting when i didn't turn it off in time. i got a better tank now. it rated up to 600psi and that motor will peg the gauge. you should feel how hard it will spray next time you come to my shop. makes a impact wrench scream.

I'm kind of scared to get near it. You don't think it'll blow up?

Anyone seen InjectedC5's famous video and attempt at flying his custom built helicopter? He doesn't listen to anyone. We told him not to fly it, but he insisted. He's never flown before. Sorry, I had to post it.

So, what went wrong? LOL.
