Icon Autosports 408 Preliminary Results
Here are the results from our 408 stroker. Vehicle is a 2003 Z06.
Here is the setup:
Engine: 408 cubic inch iron block
Lunati 4.00" crankshaft
Lunati Billet 6.125 connecting rods
Wiseco Custom forged pistons 11:0 to 1
Icon custom grind hydraulic cam
Rollmaster Double roller timing chain
Comp Cams 7.400 push rods
Crane Cams lifters
LS6 Competition cylinder heads
Ferrea Stainless 2.08/1.625 valves
Jesel Rockers 1.7
ARP main studs
ARP head studs
Fel-Pro gaskets
LSX 90mm intake
Custom 90mm billet throttle body
Kooks 1-7/8" stainless headers
3"x3" Off-road X-pipe
Corsa Tiger Shark exhaust
Spec Stage III clutch
Fidanza Aluminum Flywheel
Donaldson Blackwing Intake
Billet output shaft
Car was dynoed today on 19" CCW's and made 527 rwhp at 6400 rpm and 495 ft/lbs. at 4800 rpm. This was with a conservative 22 degrees of timing. We decided to go ahead and try the nitrous, which was jetted for 200 hp with a bottle pressure of 900 psi and it put down 707 rwhp at 6400 rpm and 660 ft/lbs. at 4900 rpm. The above numbers were produced through the mufflers. No other tricks were done to try and get an unrealistic number. Dynographs will be posted in the near future.
We have a few more little things that we are thinking about doing but for now we are very pleased with the drivability and performance of this combination.
For more information, give us a call.
Thanks,
