Default Gained 15 rwhp with LS6 intake.

I know, before you start calling "BS". the guys @ Fastech can attest for this.

Before / After gave me a solid 15 hp over the LS1 intake.

Need a tune though. A/F was 13.6 before & 13.8 after the install.

Will be getting the car retuned Friday.

Thanks again to the guys @ Fastech!
Great guys!

why would anyone call bullshit . you aleady have a host of mods and the ls1 intake is very restrictive compared to the ls6 intake. w/ your setup i'd expect that much.

Thumbs up

Yeah at first I didn't see the cam in the sig and I thought you saw that much gain on a mere bolt on car. That's not hard to believe at all but still a nice gain, congrats.

I've seen upwards of 25 rwhp on a heads/cam car. Your results are very believable

I heard that GM started making one intake for the vettes and camaros in 2000...so just because you have a LS-1, it could have the LS-6 intake....any truth to this......sounds like , but hey I've heard of weirder ****....

They started it in 2001 and actually yes, you can (and did) have F-body and Corvette LS1s (all of them from '01 on) with LS6 intakes on them from the factory.

If your car has been verified as completely stock as it came from the factory than you do not have an LS6 intake. If there is a chance that it was swapped then it's possible.
Look for the EGR tube sticking into (or not sticking into) the top of the intake, if it looks factory then it's an LS1 intake most likely but if it looks to be attached in a sort of funky way then it could be an SLP or LPE 'converted to EGR' LS6 intake.
If all else fails you'll have to just take it off and look at the bottom:
Flat bottom = LS6 intake
Wavey bottom = LS1 intake

Default LS6 gains!

I picked up 21rwhp/16twtq 3 years ago on my '99 TA with a mild H/C setup, so your gain is right on par with what we were seeing when the LS6 intake first came out. It still is one of the most cost effective mods for an LS1 intake equipped motor.

Congrats on the new hp!....Randy

I just ordered mine up yesterday, and they'll be at the dealership on Friday.

Just do a search for "LS6 coolant line" and it'll come up. You need one line, and two plugs.

Cost me $53
