Never a stupid question! It depends on what you call a daily driver. If it is a car that you use for your only source of transportation......then no. If it is a weekend cruiser, then ya you can probably get away with it. These are generally designed for the race car type. It will allow you to run bigger header, by freeing up some clearance down there. Also it will keep the engine from moving, thus allowing more torque to the rear wheels.
Thanks

chris,
why would this not be good on a daily type of driver? i am just curious as i am considering doing this, and i put about 5000 miles on the car per year.
thanks!

Taner, you would most likely be able to get away with this mod. The reason that it won't be good for say someone that puts 10,000 miles or so on their car is because with the rigidity that it wil give the car, bolts tend to come loose. When using these plates you do not get the amount of vibration transfer as you get with the stock motor mounts. This leaves a lot of the vibration being absorbed by the engine and parts that are connected to the engine. I am not saying someone couldn't make a plate work for a daily driver but I don't want to give the illusion that it will for sure. I do not know anyone that has tried a motorplate on a daily driver. Hope explaining my thoughts on this help you, Taner.
Thanks
