Default Worth switching out my stock SS lid for TSP lid?

Hey, I have an '02 SS that came with the optional SLP lid that comes with the 345 hp package. Im just wondering if its worth buying an aftermarket lid from TSP or MTI? Anybody switch out their stock SS lid for an aftermarket one and notice an improvement? Thanks,

Nick

The only benefit I could see is if the SLP has those fins on the underside of it. I'm not sure if it does or not, but if it does, I'd reccomend the TSP

I agree, but he likely has the newer 'smooth' SLP lid that does still seem/look slightly inferior to other lids (especially the new TSP) but I don't believe any gains (if there even are any) will be make the swap worth it.

Yeah, I'd say just keep the SLP one if it doesn't have those fins or baffles.

If you've got cash to burn you will see a little more horsepower. I think the Lid you've got looks real slick though. A new lid can be had for under $100 now so that's not too bad.

I have the same SLP lid on my 01 SS. There are no fins on it. I wouldn't think it's worth the expense to switch.

Swap the lid and delete the AIR system, get smooth bellows and you should see maybe 3hp or so plus a cleaner look.
