MAFLESS...perhaps this will open new doors in intakes? Now that we don't need the MAF anymore, that simplfies things. A lot. Any cold-air intake ideas flying around out there? I wish I had the equipment to bend aluminum tubing...

I've been pondering a cowl induction setup since I first started my LS1 swap. I have an L88 hood on my car with a 3"x20" area under the scoop to pull air in from the base of the windshield. That should lower my IATs quite a bit. Right now I'm seeing 30-50* above ambient. I've have 3-4" of hood clearance from the intake to the hood, so there's room to go from the TB, up, 180* around, and head straight for the cowl. <Beavis voice>That would be cool....</Beavis>

Yeah, get that 4BBL intake, put the bottom half of
a Holley Dominator on it with the TPS cobbled up,
four Hillborn type stacks through the hood, and
woo-hoo!
Long as you don't get a lot of rain, anyway....
Cowl induction works well on older cars where the
windshield has a high angle and creates a high
pressure region. On our cars, aerodynamics means
that is less so, and I think cowl induction is not
going to be as good as a big-*** forward-facing
bug catcher. Dunno about the '70s 'vette, that
seems kind of in the middle ground to me as far
as the rake of the windshield and likely air crush.
