If it's OBD-II then EFILive should work. Check that
the connector has power (on F-bodies it runs off
the cig lighter fuse, do not know about Trailblazers).

should work, especially if it can see the VIN. What version of EFILive are you using? Have you tried posting on the efilive forum? They are good about responding to issues with their software.

After it fails to connect, save the "error report" and email it to support at efilive.com.
If an error report is not displayed, generate one manually by pressing Ctrl+G, or by selecting "Generate error report" from the File menu.

Also include at least the first 11 digits/letters of your VIN - if the VIN is not in the error report.

I'll look for your email and try to help you out.

There is a fault in one of the early releases of EFILive that will cause EFILive to not connect if the target vehicle's VIN starts with a sequence that is *not* one of these:
1G......... gm_enhanced.prn (USA GM)
2G......... gm_enhanced.prn (Canada GM)
3G......... gm_enhanced.prn (Mexico GM)
4G......... gm_enhanced.prn (USA GM)
5G......... gm_enhanced.prn (USA GM)
6G......... gm_enhanced.prn (Australia GM)
6H......... gm_enhanced.prn (Australia Holden)

If your VIN does not match one of the above entries, you can either:
1. Download the latest (V6 beta) release of EFILive from our downloads page.
or
2. Add a similar entry with the first 2 digits/letters of your VIN to the Configuration\sae_generic.txt file.

Regards
Paul
