Dash Signatures
Met Scott Settlemire at the Texas fair this past Saturday for the F-bod Invasion. Awsome guy btw. Well, after he handed me a cert for Best In Show - Fbodfathers Pick, I wanted to get him to sign the car to further commemorate the occasion. So i got his autograph on my psgr airbag cover in silver sharpie. I removed the armor all from the spot b4 he signed it. Im curious if there is anything i can do to make sure it lasts thru the test of time? is there anything i need to put over it to prolong its life? anything not to do to keep from maybe whiping it off?
TIA

I got best of show for the 4 Gen Firebirds. I had him sign mine under the hood. I dont know if there is anything you can do to protect that except to keep the armor all away from it.

yeah i think i would keep the amorall away from it, but i am not sure any other way to keep it safe. maybe some kind of sealer on your dash, but i cant think of anything. i know shelby and some others would sign dashes, and they would last a long time, but not sure how they last so long.
nice car, love that color

Whatever you do, keep any cleaners with alcohol away from the signature. The alcohol will take sharpie marker right off (even though it's supposedly permanent). I don't know what Armor All has in it, but I'd have to agree that it's probably a good idea to keep it off of Scott's signature.
