Some may call me crazy, I think lucky is more like it.
Alright I know I haven't been a member long and alot of the questions I've asked were referring to Firehawks. I had been planning on getting an 01 or 02 firehawk. But not too long ago I was driving around and I saw something that sparked my memory. It was a white V6 camaro with the SAP. And I remembered when the 98s-99s came out. I was jocking the SAP Z's like a high school cheerleader. So anyway I was browsing the internet looking at 01-02 F-bodys and I spied with my little eyes a nice little 02 about 650 miles away. Well to make a long story a not as long story. I looked into all aspects of aquiring that car because of how sweet a deal it was. Everything worked out better than I could have hoped. And so tuesday night I learned how to drive a stick (for an hour). And wednesday my friend and I made the trip in the Riviera. Quad Cities, IL to Enid, OK. Picked her up and stayed at my cousins in Tulsa. Then came back yesterday. So SHE'S HOME BABY! I got 2600 trade for my Riv, kelley put it at 2450 (104K mi), the car's price was 15,750. It booked for about 19,700. I still had 2750 left to pay on the buick so my cost of the car came to 15,900. What is "the car" you ask. A 2002 SOM hardtop M6 Z28 with the sport appearance package, blk leather. Only things wrong with it are a very minor scuff on the front left ground effect and a 3" by 1" section of damage to the left side of the driver's seat. (Like I really care about that )I'm thinking this is one rare 02 Z. I'm attaching a pic hopefully it will work for you all, she's a little dirty from the 1000 miles I've put on it since I picked it up. The clock reads just under 26,200 it was at exactly 25,202 when I got her. Oh yeah and by the way it's got bumper2bumper coverage until Aug. 31 of 05 or 36K. I know your probably thinking that I'm abusing the tranny/clutch but both my friends that have rode with me are amazed how quickly I've picked up on it. I've got it down now I am honing my abilities. I AM SO FREAKING PUMPED ABOUT THIS AND THIS CAR IS AWESOME IN SO MANY WAYS! It is unmodded and had one owner who put in a stereo but now the stock monsoon is back in. Did I mention I love this car.

Sport Appearance Package? The ground effects and taller spoiler. Personally i have never liked it, but SOM is one of my fav f-body colors.
Congrats on the new car, now mod the hell out of it.

Thanks guys. I'm definitely keeping the SAP installed, I love it. I also liked the 4th gen RS's but thought it was that they were only V6. I dont know who to PM about a name change but I'm not too worried about it. Hitmeoff, your wheels are friggin monstrous. This is the fastest car I've ever driven or rode in for that matter. The motherfuggin roar just on the other side of the firewall let's anyone riding along know that she's one bad bitch, even stock. I havent even tasted the true muscle these cars are capable of modded. LS1's are the ****!

Definitely dont take off the SAP...Personally, I think its what sets apart my camaro from most that I see on the street, it adds alot to the looks of the car.
And yeah, those are 19s...I love em. Its what gets me the most compliments...the rims + the SAP I think really make my car get all the stares it does. I do agree with TX_SS on one point though...LOWER THAT CAR...1" will make make it look that much better
Once again, congratulations brother, and welcome to the wonderful world of the LS1.
