Ok, the great thing about alluminum is that unlike iron, it doesn't rust, right? Actually it does, the difference is that when alluminum rusts, it forms a clear protective coating (alluminum oxide) which prevents any further rusting. Alluminum oxide is the second strongest material known to man behind diamond. Oh by the way mercury penetrates alluminum and makes it rust rapidly where it cant form the protective coating. cool story about that is in WWII we sent in commandos into german airfields to spread mercury paste on their planes to makes them dissenegrate into dust. haha
Another cool thing, ruby and saphire are just different colors of alluminum oxide.

diamond isn't the stongest, its just the hardest. i favor aluminum not b/c just (paint can fix that) but the weight factor. also, it dosnt' make sense to me why american comando's would waste time spreading chemicals on lufwafa(spelling??) airplanes, rather then just blowing them to hell, seems like it be alot more simple and cheaper then spreading oxidizing material on the airplanes. not trying to come across as a jackass, but just stating my view.

Hell, even apples rust! That's why they turn brown after you bite into them and set them down. The apple is oxidizing
