It's amazing what a little lowering and wheels can do for the look of a car. Anyone else notice the 5.0 Liter badges? I wonder if that's the same 400hp 5.0 Liter from the GT-R Concept.

You know I think you may have a point, and the wheel flares sort of amplify the affect. Also, is it just me or is the front wheel placed too far back?

And from their press release...

Roush Performance Mustang
Incorporating features reminiscent of a racecar, the Ford Mustang by Roush Performance falls somewhere in between the bounds of race-ready and street-legal. Roush is certainly a brand that supports the concept, having won more than 300 races, and 34 championships in all major series (SCCA, IMSA, NHRA, and all three levels of NASCAR). The Ford Mustang by Roush Performance will help to continue the legacy, by accentuating the proud design themes incorporated in the stock factory "road" version of the 2005 Ford Mustang GT.
Base Vehicle
2005 Ford Mustang GT Coupe Premium
Engine
4.6-liter 3-valve V-8

5-speed manual transmission

If Ford makes a 5.0 GT I could be persuaded.

Has anyone else noticed there is a plethora of body kits being shown here and the car has been available to thepublic for what? a month maybe?.... and yet already this car has more body add-ons available than a 4th Gen Camaro that has been out since 1993!!! Sheesh.

The front tire may look like that because it's turning. The car looks like it's running on 15s though.

Doesn't that just **** you off? In 6 months, the aftermarket for these will far exceed that of the 4th generation fbodies! I'm really starting to dig it as well....

Well you know that Ford probably gave all these tuners cars to work on months in advance to the car's public release just to help build buzz and get folks like us thinking about their product. Brilliant marketing if you ask me.

Sadly I just can't warm up to this new Mustang, and I even have a 1967 Mustang! I guess I'm of the mind that if I want a classic car I'll buy a classic car. This car's styling is just too retro for me.
