Default Help with LM-1 setup

The LM-1 displays shows ~20.x in free air, but when I view it in HPT's VCM Scanner, it's showing up as 10.x. If I disconnect the cable the scanner shows 12.3.

Do I need to alter the Analog Output options on the LM-1 unit? If so, what do I change?

You need to make sure the transfer characteristic
programmed into the LM-1 and the characteristic
that VCM_Scanner uses to interpret that voltage
are the same. Open up the LM-1 control program
and have a look at what it thinks it's putting out.
If I recall, Output 1 and Output 2 had two different
settings for output profile.

AO1 defaults to narrowband characteristics, and AO2 defaults to wideband characteristics. I just found out that specific VCM Scanner table cells refer to specific A/D inputs & outputs. So I just had the PID in a generic location at the bottom of the table and it was reading an unconnected A/D signal.

I have the AO1 set to 0-5V=10-20AFR, using AFR not lambda. The scanner is now reporting 19.8 and the handheld 20.8. When I blow on the sensor the handheld value drop a couple of full points, but the scanner value merely stays at ~19.8.

Got it working. Now if only I hadn't spent all day fiddlin' with it and gotten to the exhaust shop before they closed to install the bung.

Ken says that's acceptable above. I stuck the sensor just inside the tailpipe and did some brief idle logging. Most of my cells were in the 13.x area at idle. But I seem to recall reading that anything post cat isn't accurate - but I don't know by how much or which way (lean/rich).

So most of my LTFT cells are showing red, and the idle AFR (at the tailpipe thru cats) is around 13.x.
