Default Anyone have pics of cut bumpers for larger slicks, camaro or formula

I have a set of 28x10.5x15s coming and I know I'll probably have to cut the bumper cover but i've never seen it in person or in a pic of how or where to cut. Anyone have a few pics of this procedure?? I'm running em on a 15x10 with 7.5 bs, if that makes a difference in where to cut.
Thanks,
J

Thats a 30 inch wheel. I know 28s fit but they may rub because of tire growth.

True, very true . . . but there has to be a better way than slicing your car to ribbons, in order to go fast in a straight line . . . .

HOLY ****, no way in hell I'd do that to my car....there has to be another way. Looks like I'll be looking for another bumper cover to hack up as I can't see going to that extreme to get some 28's to fit.

I know a local guy (Guess Who?) that did this to his car to run 29.5's on his 35th SS. Unfortunately I don't have any pics. You may be able to find some here or on LS2 in the TX Forum.

for 28" radials you dont need to cut up anything. for 28x10 et streets/drags you really wont have to cut or shave much at all. nothing near that car in the pic. you are looking at a 30" slick there. huge differnce. if you can get a narrowed rearend adn the right offset, the wheel will come back inside and really only some banging inside the wheel well is all that is needed. dont be afraid. 28s are a sinch.

Cool Thanks for the info John I didn't really want to modify the car that much. Its still my daily driver and really can't go the race car route and modify the body to get tires to fit. Hopefully with my pro stars 15x10's w/ 7.5 bs I can tuck em up real nice with minimal shaving like you state. My fenderwells were clearanced a long time ago in anticipation for thicker meats one day
