i recently came across the new gen III 6.0l crate engines and was gauging my interest as a using one as a cheaper alternative to an ls1, but i had a few question i was hoping some of you could clear up. First off i was wondering as to if it shares the same mount locations as the ls1, is it the same block as the ls1 just made in iron instead? Will a t56 mount up ok? what about aftermarket... cams, heads, intake, are all these interchangeable between the motors?

everything is interchangable sans stock pistons. only thing you'll need to do is tap an new hole for one of the alt brackets.
