I need to clean a MAF i have, i was told carburator cleaner, if so do i just soak the elements in it or what else do i have to do? any help will be appreciated.

Generally, just spray the cleaner onto some q-tips and very gently wipe down the resistors. Spray off the resistors with the cleaner after you scrub them to remove any residue. Soaking shouldn't be necessary. Just be sure to be GENTLE.

I used that stuff to spray the CPU, keyboard etc and I had no problems. Just make sure you don't spray it into the throttle body.

I actually bought the stuff to do the job today.

CRC Electronics Cleaner and some Q-tips... Getting ready to bring the maf inside and do it later.

The CRC was $4 for the can.

I used rubbing alcohol and Q-tips. Worked perfectly.

I've always used the carb cleaner then gently wiped it down with a q-tip. Works great every time. I'll probrably try some electronics cleaner sometime if I happen to see it forsale.

Finished the job this evening.

How the hell does one resistor get so damn dirty. One was pretty much black and the rest only half as dirty.
