Stock Internal LT1 6spd goes 12.531@109
Hey guys. I got a new best out of my car on Thursday and came .05 seconds away from getting the Totally stock internal LT1 6spd record. This was with a 3505 lb raceweight, DA of 0, and a slipping origional clutch. I have some things up my sleeve and hopefully by December I'll have the record and be running sub 12.3's with stock internals.

I thought the record was lower than that. My buddy Russ went 12.2x's stock internal 96 Z28 LT1 6-speed. He said that someone is faster than him at No Problem Raceway in Louisana. He did that at a Shootout in Atco NJ I think. He's in a issue of GM High Tech.

Some people confuse aftermarket higher lift roller rockers to be stock internal. It is not. I know there have been a few cars quicker with Autos with stock internals but as far as 6spds with stock internals I only know of 3 guys who are faster then me. 12.48, 12.482 and 12.5 Russ (Greenbeanz28) who won the GMHTP "bolt on" shootout has gone 12.34's but he has aftermarket roller rockers making it not stock internals. Most consider him still "bolt on" but by definetion he is not stock internal
Thanks guys for all of the encouragement.

The fastest completely stock internal LT1 is a 10.86 at 120, set by Craig Miller.
Rockers have been qualified as a bolt on. But your right that doesnt qualify them as stock internal.

Thats what I'm shooting for. I'm figuring -1000 Da's should do it.

Hehe, My car's been down a lot lately and it had crossed my mind to put in a stock motor untill my other one gets done. And then I see this!
I think I just will have to put in a stock motor again. I gots a score to settle with a 11.99 anyways.

Haha. Thats awesome Russ. I'd love to see another "bolt on" LT1 in the 11's.
Are you gonna put roller rockers on it again or have it "truly" STOCK INTERNAL
like mine

I figure I'll need every little thing I can get to runn 11.99, so it'll most likey have rockers on it.
I just know that my car is lighter now, has more gear, better headers, will have a tune in it this time. I hope I can run the numbers. My best pass was blowing the tires off, and at NJ it was 95 degrees and not hooking in the slightest.
