Default 14.9mpg?

Isn't that a bit off? Mainly city/suburb driving with SOME highway driving.

Got into one race. Didn't really beat on it much other than that.

Isn't that low?

Not familar with LS1's but I thought they got better mileage than that.

Really? damn...thought I'd be getting better mileage than that. I certainly didn't get the car thinking it'd be a Hon-duh though Just thought the mileage would be better.

On the highway is where you will get the best mileage, obviously. I usually average around 20 in the city, and about 26 or 27 on the highway. Now I have a stick and that helps a carpload. My brother, who has a 98 Z with A4, gets mileage similar to yours. You are on the right track for an a4.

I get 25 or so with my M6, even racing it has NEVER dropped below 21-22. And I check at every fill up with my handy cell phone/calculator.

City driving kills me, as it probably does you. Some M6 people see 30+ on the highway!

Driving mostly city, and getting on it a lot I get around 15 MPG. Not bad IMHO. When I drove down to San Diego and back Saturday ~240 miles roundtrip. I got 23 MPG with 2 dyno runs, and a few high speed runs on the freeway. Not bad either. Better than my friend's V6 Camry. He gets 22 MPG, and my engine is nearly twice is big as his. These engines rock

Speaking of 30+ mpg, the best I got was a on a 6 hour round trip. It is 200 miles one way, and 400 round trip. I didnt have to fill up to come home after the weekend was over. After it was all said and done I think I was at 33 mpg. Which was incredible. I was driving at around 80mph and tacking 2000rpms with my 3.73's.

Depends on where you live.
I live in Las Vegas NV on my way to work jammed highway thru city 16 miles trip takes nearly 50 minutes on my way home at 2-3 am as you guessed no one on the roads same city-highway ride. Yes a do nail it sometimes and I'm getting like 15miles/ gallon.
If you live somewhere where there is no traffic, lights you will get closer to the advertised numbers (19/31 as far as I remember.)

I get 16 to 18 MPG with hard driving. I think I am racing every time I get behind the wheel. With Highway I do around 20 to 22 MPG and I just gave it a tune up.

I got 18-19 mpg before header install and now about 14 mpg. Your mpg might be low because your gears might be 3.23s since your stock.

Near stock A4 (99 z28), I got 28.7 mpg on my way down to the Commerce Challenge a few weeks ago.

Around town, I'm not sure, haven't done the math, but I'm thinking right around 20-21.

Admittedly I'm a bit heavier (well my car, but I could stand to drop 25 or so also ) - but I get right around the same - for normal daily driving. If I get to take her out and cruise it goes up. I got 25 for a pure highway trip.

Just had to chime in here. I just about 15-16mpg (mostly weekend driving). At higher elevations such as here in Albuquerque, average gas mileage tends to be lower for all cars. All the engines have to work harder to deliver the same performance as could be attained at sea level.
