388 all bore = fun....
that pretty much says it all.......
I'm still working out the Speed Density tune (I am WAYYYYYYYYYY rich at WOT......say....10.5:1 - 11.5:1 air/fuel ) but all I can say is "I LOVE THIS SETUP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" From idle to ~ 3500 it's kind of like my old 346 with the TR224/112LSA on roids (it's "quick") but by the time it hits 4500 my eyes go BIIIIIIIIGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG and I turn white (it still scares me) with how hard it pulls......."IT F*ING ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!"
in final......me = happy....

I would like to see what we compare at also (probubly dyno it around Christmas).......
I'm an M6 through a 10 bolt and through 295/30/18 Drag Radials.......so we should be pretty close on drivetrain loss....what flywheel do you have (I have an aluminum)...

put down peak of a little under 460hp and a little over 430 torque
i was hoping for quite a bit more, atleast 500hp, but we'll see what the heads flow and if there can be any improvement on that and then match a cam to it instead of the generic grind that is in there.
Going TH400 though, so things will be quite different

well thats good to know........I'm hoping to make 475-500 rwhp with my solid roller 244/249 0.644/0.644 112LSA cam.......I just don't know how "bad" the 1-3/4" Hookers are going to hold me back.......
I know there is more HP to be had with a better intake system as I am not seeing atmospheric pressure at WOT (the air filter/TB/etc. can't flow enough to keep up with the engine).....

Damn nice setup man and if you ever get used to it your only a crank away from 427 + lol . Grats man!! I sometimes wish I would have done an all bore aluminum 383 cause this damn iron block is heavy as hell.

Yep.....I can even keep the pistons I have. By using the 6.300" rod I used an off the shelf 4.131 bore piston that is designed to go in a "427" rotating assembly........though I would probably need to re-hone the cylinder to rid myself of the wear pattern......in reality though, when I get tired of how it runs now (HP level) I'll just spray it, I like the fast rev up this short stroke/long rod combo has to go mess with it...........
