Default picked out a h/c package.. wondering what ya'll think?

ls1 speeds patriot h/c package.. includes assembled heads/gaskets/crankbolt i think/ pushrods and any compcam from them...

so i was thinking ls6 heads.. there stock casting.. bump the compression up to 10.5:1. will that work with 93-95 octane? comp cams 224/228 .58X lift 114 lsa...
car is a auto with tci 3000 stall, might consider going to a 3500 stall, with lt headers and offroad pipe...

i think that be a pretty mild cam for a auto, but make decent power n/a wth heads/cam and complete patriot vavletrain with dual springs ect.. and i think it would really wake things up on the srpay dont ya'll???

do i have to get the ls6 heads to change compression to 10:5-1... or can i do the patriot stage 2 ls1 heads.. like 1700$ or 2100$.. looking to save money and wanna know will it be worth it. heres the link.. down at the bottom of page, its my reason for the confusion http://www.ls1speed.com/catagory.cfm?catagory=valve

for $350 id get the ls6 heads which will flow better and give more HP and for the compression 10.5 wont be a problem just use 93 octane and get your car dyno tuned

hey man.. any idea on how much power i could make based on about 315 to the wheels now with that cam alone, and with the cam/heads... any close estimation would be appreciated.. goal is 400n/a.. im afriad im going to come up short with heads and cam while others make it cam only.. but thats such a good price for everything

with this combo plus LTs,ORY and a dyno tune you'd be over 400 to the wheels

ok man u been a big help and i just got one more stupid question to ask..

would it be better to do the first cam with ls6 heads or
the 231/237 588 595 112lsa cam with stage 2 ls1 heads for 400$ less... or that second cam with teh ls6 how much more power is possible vs the smaller cam with ls6... trying to decide b/t the two.. just dont know if that second one with the 112lsa would hurt me on a 150 shot.. but i must know im getting 400+rwhp before i lay down 2100$..

sorry for so many questions.. im 19 with a truck adn car payment and its taken a really long time to save this money and if i get the ls6 its going to take another month lol just wanna make sure its worth it..

With an A4 id say the stage2 ls6 with the comp cams 224/228 .58X lift 114 lsa would be a better choice all over but it all depends on what you really want

Ok guys,
1- Patriot LS6 are not "real" LS6 castings. They are 6.0 castings, CNC machined in LS6 style.
2- You can achieve very close to 400rwhp, cam only and full bolt ons. Your 02 has "241" LS1 casting heads that flow pretty good to achieve this number.
I have a 01 and I'm making 404rwhp with a 224/220 XE-R Stealth II.
By "FULL" bolt ons I mean LT's, ORY, cutout, pulley, TB, induction, adjustable fuel regulator at rail, all free mods, catch can (to keep oil out of you Comb. Chambers) and tuning software.
3- You have to decide where in the powerband do you want that power. Some cams will only give you that from 6300-7000rpms, I get mine from 5900-6400.
4- Check FMS cams, they are famous for good power, driveability, like FM11 or FM13.
5- You are going to need a minimum of 3500 stall, if for the track YPT 4400 is where it is at. I have a VIG 3200 for my little cam (Stalls at 3600).
