need STRONG wheel cleaner!
i just got done washing my TA from a drive from san antonio to houston. while i was cleaning my wheels i found on just only one of my wheels what appears to be road tar from the construction on I10. does anyone know what could take this off of my wheel without harming the finish? i've already tried wheel polish(mother's), rubbing alcohol, and goo gone. any other suggestions or ideas? any posts will be greatly appreciated.

wd40 will have little effect unless your trying to take rubber off your back bumper, you can try a bug n tar remover, googone or 3m Fine cut compound followed by some kind of wheel polish unless your using the regular silver wheels that came w/ the TA

thanks for all the replies. the turtle wax bug and tar remover worked pretty good with a lot of scrubbing. im going to try some gasoline or brake fluid as mentioned to get the remaining tar off. hopefully that should do the trick.
