TR 220 kit ... what rockers?
Thunder Racing cam kit + the goodies = slightly longer hardened chrome-moly pushrods. Now, low acceleration in Drive (4th) causes slight chatter. Using 93 octane fuel ... oil level is full. Would Yellow Terra 1:7 rockers fix the chatter? I guess 1:8 rockers would be out of the question.
Even if Yellow Terra's won't fix the valvetrain chatter what WILL they do for me, from a flow/power standpoint ?????

OK Paul, I'll do just that ... thanks for replying.
Anyone have any idea what's causing the chatter, I say it's the rockers, but, what about the valves? I love the cam. It fits my needs perfectly. If the rockers are self-adjusting, could it be they are damaged? The car is a '99 and has been driven hard, however, it has only 34,000 original miles on it and it's been maintained very well.

If it were needle bearings in the oil, it's been going on for a few months and I would have spun a rod bearing and gotten hard knocking by now. Sorry, I should have specified it's been happening for awhile.
It does sound like it could be pinging .... what do I need to do to stop it? I have ran nothing but 93 octane.

I think this is where it began:
It seems like it started about the time I installed my ported TB and LS6 intake ... both on the same day. Could this have caused the car to start detonating at low rpm's in high gear because of the better intake of air flow ... leaning out the A/F ratio? Or, would better airflow cause the PCM to richen the A/F ... making it too rich and not burning the fuel effectively enough? I do believe it is pinging due to predetonation, as you had mentioned previously.
