Talking My Girlfriend's ****

OK, everybody is in here.
So I dynoed my car today... what you guys think about my numbers, torque curve...etc.
The car is a 2002 WS6 M6 44000 miles on it, cutout was open...see sig.

So my shift point sould be like 5250 rpm right?

No, you're shift point should be much higher, probably around 6000 but the graph cuts off before that.

WHY? Explain it to mee please.
I tought I supposed to shift where hp and tq meets. Tq drops from 4.5, hp looks the same from 5.2 to 5.7 so what's to point. I'm confused...

Because if you shift right at your peak, your next gear will fall below your power band and the car will have to pick itself back up.

You should be shifting @ nothing short of 6K. I shifted my stock internal 98 motor @ 6300....

Nice title BTW, got my attention

You want to shift 600-800 RPM after your hp peak.

Just an FYI, hp and tq always meet at 5252 if they're on the same scale. You always want to shift after peak horsepower. Ideally you'd shift at the exact rpm so when your rpms drop you're still at the same horsepower you were at before you shifted. Usually your redline is set before that though.

Its hard to say exactly where to shift b/c the graph cuts off.

I'm surprised nobody has commented on your awesome #s. Especially the torque You make more than alot of cammed cars.

Basically all you have is a lid, cutout, headers, and a tune. A ported tb and a pulley would probably bring you up to 370 rwhp. If I were you I'd be shooting for the bolt-on rwhp crown!
