One of my better friends is picking up his 03 Evo VIII today, and although he is a good guy, he likes to talk a lot of **** and doesnt like to believe me anytime i prove him wrong with the help of all the wonderful posts and forums on this site. He refuses to think his evo can get beaten by an ls1 (obviously i disagree) ...sooo haha wish me luck, today will be the first of many many races im sure. I see the guy damn near every day and every weekend, so ill post up tonite with some stories.

welllll, he didnt want to race me b/c he wants to get used to it and get better at driving it first (not that i blame him). It is nice to have another car in the group though. Lucky bastard, his 19th birthday is dec. 30th, 10 days after i turn 18...all i want is some money towards exhaust, but then again he's rich and im not so haha thats life. But i will definitely post up whenever he feels comfortable racing me. Its a given that from a dig, (especially when he learns how to launch better on the awd), im gonna get beaten at least to 80 or so...but whats everyone's general opinion on taking him/not taking him from a roll?...best speed to start from....etc...assuming he is an average driver.

u need a stall.....but when i raced 04 STI it was real close...up to 100mph..then i started to pull i have a lid and cutout...so good luck...u might need new tires...DR NITTOS or something..

when i was bone stock i raced my buddies stock evo from a 50mph roll and beat it. then we raced again but the rpm's were to high for 1st gear, and the rpms were very low in 2nd so i went in 2nd and got pulled. if we would have raced further i think i would have ended up winning.

definately dont go from a dig.

Raced from a roll between 35 and 40 I see.

I race my buddies evo all the time, I beat him allllll the time when he was stock. He kills me now, but they are not that stunning stock, just be prepared to play catch-up.
