Default Clearance with 3" True Duals and XR1's

Here are a few pics of the clearance I have with 3" true duals and my Borla XR1's.

Sorry for the shitty pics, was cold and I couldn't quit shaking.

Did you have to beat the floor pan in to get that kind of clearance? Looks real nice. How does it sound?

Yes the floor pan was "massaged". You can click the link in my sig to hear how it sounds. I like it 10x better then my old duals I had and my Hooker Catback. Perfect IMO.

Oh yea, Steve, BITE ME. I would love to move, but having no job would be a pisser.

The links seem to be working just fine. Yes, the car is lowered about 1.5" all the way around.

what muffler was on your duals before? let me guess.....dynomax bullets. i had them for awhile and they droned like hell, so im going with the borla as well. not sure if i need to get the ones like you got or get the oval ones. hmmmm.

Shep, The shop "messaged" them with a BFH.

Silver, I actually was tired of the drone so bad I went back to a Hooker Catback. I just decided last week that I wanted to try the duals again. Yes, you are right, I had the bullets.

I'm considering TDs myself, which bullets were you running and is there any major difference between the different bullets. Also, you say the Borla sounds 10xs better, is that because of no drone or is the whole exhaust note better? Just curious, considering doing a Borla combo also, just trying to decide whether to go with the TSP or do it myself. nice set-up Thank you!

Yah. I am also thinking of replacing the DynoMax bullet in my Y-pipe with a XR-1, so any info on drone reduction and sound quality would be appreciated. Thanks!

Car has no drone and I can't tell you how happy I am with the sound quality.

That's good to know as my current set-up only sounds good at idle and WOT...
