use extreme caution when removing the dipstick tube. you will probably still get rear O2 sensor codes even with the catted y pipe.

you better have a 10mm gear wrench in your tool box somewhere, if not, go get one, or pickup a whole set of gear wrenches.

You may need to delete your rear O2's (or use sims) even with cats. Any tuning following the swap?

might as well change your plugs while you're in there. When I had a catted Y I had no problems with SES codes.

Don't forget to plug in the coolant temp. sensor when you're done. Car will run like **** and throw a code if you forget.

Its probably too late, but you may want to look into getting some stage 8 header bolts.

It may also be a good idea to get new header gaskets

Maybe some beer for afterwards?

Stage 8 bolts are a good addition. I didn't use any when I installed my headers this summer only to find out two weeks ago that all of my header bolts had backed-out a bit. So I ordered some from www.thunderracing.com and had my girlfriend help me install them this past Monday as well as a new set of Brisk spark plugs.

Some Blue LocTite would probably serve a better purpose than the Anti seize in my opinion.

Stage 8's are great going in the 1st time.

Patience is needed to reuse the clips (I have none, hence there are no clips on there now).

I think it's a 50/50 chance on whether I'll get codes or not from the rear O2's. My buddy had the exact setup on his 02 and no codes after the install.

Car is not getting tuned right away, but I plan on getting it tuned after I do the cam in the spring or summer.

Plugs have already been changed with NGK's, so I won't need to do that.

I do have a full set of reversible ratcheting wrenches.

I have blue loctite already. I had planned on using the antiseize on the clamp bolts and such.

I will use the stock bolts and stock gaskets. I'm pretty sure it was 2001 when they went with the better gaskets that are reusable. If I have problems with them backing out, then I may buy the Stage 8 bolts. If I do buy them, it'll be from MY f-body store.
