Default I LOVE my MAC's ... anybody who doesn't?

MAC CATS seem to suck, so, we're speaking of ORY, not the MAC CATS.

It seems like most of the older and experienced folks here who have owned numerous sets of LT's and MAC's, well, it seems to be a general consensus that they feel the 1 3/4" mid-length MAC's and ORY performed pretty much as well and sometimes better than LT's ... when ported properly. Would you agree or do you think MAC's suck? I LOVE my MAC's!!!!!

Yes I am one that doesn't...doesn't love YOUR Macs that is.
I might actually like my own Macs though if I were to put them on the car but for now they're sitting in a box in my living room. Decent headers for sure but I think I'm going with QTPs instead.

Mine sounded much better after I had a Flowmaster Y welded into the Y. Gave it more of a tuned sound and less rasp. However I will be changing my engine setup and switch to 1-7/8" LT's.

mmkay what exactly did u do now?? id prolly keep my mac mids but wouldnt' mind upgrading to a less raspy y pipe... did u just leave teh mac y bolted up to the headers for about 6 inches and then replace it from there back or did u weld the y to the headers??

I like my MACs too.
Question, has any one done duals with X pipe on MACs??
If so any pics?
'm thinking of doing that and I could use illustrations so I can see where to position the X pipe and mufflers etc... Oh BTW was thinking Spintech muffs, what do you think?

The Flowmaster collector is welded to both the Y and the I pipe. The headers are not welded to the Y; just bolted with the flanges.

I like mine. I get rasp from 2000 - 2300 rpms though. ORYP + cheap vortex muffler = rasp.

i love my macs with ory/ dual cutout......the way i see it, a catback just adds weight, so i just have a glasspack right off the y pipe
