how far back do true duals go?
I am lookin at purchasing a tsp true duals set up 3 inch, with borla 18 inch bullets. How far back towards the rear axle does this set up reach? Is it safe to put exhause tubing under the rear axle due to the fact that the axle needs room to move up and down depending on road condition? I was thinking that the duals dumped before reaching the axle, but I dont know for sure, I am also assuming that 3 inch is too big to go over the axle. Any info on this setup would be greatly appreciated. I am close to purchasing, but I want to make sure I know everything now, so as to advoid agrivating suprises later.
Thanks

they dump just before the axle at the point where the floor board goes up into the wheel well. 3" over the axle is tough, i havnt heard of it without relocating the PHB (i think thats what it was), under the axle isnt to bad, it just dosnt look as good.
Just get the TSP duals and be happy!!!

well, go with TSP's setup if you want. I'd rather spend the extra $80-150 and get a custom setup by Lane. TSP is a great company and they have great products, but Lane is the man when it comes to exhaust setups. Plus he's right down the street from me

I put 45º - 90º - 45º bends going under the axle so that it goes out to the sides and tucks just behind each wheel. The exhaust comes back towards the center so if you dont mind doing a makeshift center mount exhaust tips, it works perfectly. The bottom of the bends hang down just about as much as the front air dam. I just had winter tires put on and the axle just kissed the bends when it was fully extended, but it didnt bend the exhaust out of recognition. And even if it does, the bends will just "rotate" a little, assuming that you used clamps rather than welds. I really like the setup and it dosnt scrape. Works really well.

Even with the upper panhard brace do you think you can get 3 inch pipes over the driver side of the axle. I currently have 2.5 inch pipes going over each side of the axle.
