Should I do 17x11s on rear?
Hey guys! I'm going to be buying a set of TT2s in a couple weeks and am still trying to decide on sizes. My choices are:
17x9.5 all 4 wheels
or
17x9.5 on front, 17x11 on rear
I can get a pretty good deal on either, but there is one problem. I just bought brand new tires a month ago. They are 4 P275 40 17s. The main thing is I want to be able to use the new tires I have with the TT2s, but is it possible to fit a p275 tire on a 17x11? It doesn't seem like it would work, but it might. I know its not the ideal setup, but I figure that if I go with the 17x11 rear and use the tires up for now, I always have the option of going for a wider tire like a 315 in the future. So what do you guys think? Also, is there a lot of problems with 17x11s with 315s? Will I have to modify anything? Thanks a lot!

Get the 11's if you are not lowered. If you are, avoid them.
I'm lowered on my 17x11 ZR-1's and had to do a lot of bodywork to fit w/o rubbing.
17x11 tt2's will fit fine w/o any rubbing issues if you are not lowered...so get them and save the other pair of 275's for the fronts.

Go 17X11 and 315's. I think I have the 54mm GS offset which is what you want to minimize rubbing of the inner tire but with mine I still needed to do a little work (not much) with the BFH on the inner wheel well and I did some minor grinding on the bump stops. The look really good. Get some nice DR's too.

buy some 315's and put em on the back...when your front's wear out put the other 275's you have on them what would really answer most of these questions is: look at the tire manufacturers recommendation...if it say 9-11" rim width...then you CAN put them on...if it says 9-10...then don't...it's that simple...i wouldn't run anything that isn't "recommended" it is recommended for a reason...remember that the 4 tires are what keep you on the road...that would be the last place i would test the limits...good luck...315's look real mean by the way

What is the proper offset for the 17X11 on a 00 Camaro Z-28? I saw a few different options above and I want to be sure.
Thanks
