Default Low Oil Pressure???Help!!!

Pretty much a shop has put my motor back in with mid's and ory. I origanally had it pulled so i can put a new crank, pistons, and ect...in it. So anyways we started her up to today to brake her in and the oil press is barley a 1/4 over (20-25). And it wont go any higher..Sometimes it sat on 0..What could this be? The oil pressure regulator? Any thoughts?

Since the motor just got pulled might be a bent or broken sending unit, located on the back of the intake. 12559781 is for 1998 applications only. 12562267 is for use on 1999-02 applications.

It's either the sending unit on the back of the intake, or the oil pump. If the o-ring on the pickup tube isn't seated properly, that can also give you low pressure.

Check the O ring on the pickup tube to see if it is torn. This could cause the drop in pressure. Is this a new pump?
