A 240+/.600+ cam cut on a 112 lsa or tighter and degree it in on a 108 or so.

Shouldn't take too much. I'm shooting for it with home ported heads and a very large cam, for stock displacement anyway. You will need steep steep gears and a very good suspension though. Good luck and keep us posted.

Check out the new LSK lobes from comp, they will help but deffinately need an agressive spring as they make the XE-R lobes look like sissys. With a big bore like you have they will probably really help but will require a stout valve train. Do a search on them under my name and you will find a posting about all the available or you could look in comp's new master catalog.

If you already have it then run it, but if you are not going to spray and do not have that cam then I would get one cut a little tighter on the lsa.

Tighten that lsa for sure. Deffinately want to match the heads combustion chambers with that huge bore to. You could really get the benefits of unshrouding the valves.

The 393 was my last motor, that I grenaded. All bore 4.100 X 3.72 (offset ground crank).

ARE stage 2 heads, 232 236 cam, .600 lift, 112 ls.

With a nitrous tune (lowered timing), heavy driveshaft, 400T, 12 bolt, the car ran a 11.1 on just motor. Would have been a 10 with better timing and setting up the suspension for all motor. Car weighed around 3450

The cam was extremely small, because it was a street car. But put down 420 HP with slicks on the car.

Overall, it was a good motor. But you'd be better off getting the Eagle crank & throw that in there, unless you are racing in a specific class that limits displacement. I found myself wishing that I had just waited until I could afford the better crank.

Yes, longer the stroke- shorter the piston has to be with the same rod.
