Dirt in cylinders

Dirt in cylinders I am about to start buttoning car back up. If there is any sand/radiator coolant or whatever in there when I fire car up will that hurt anything? Just curious how meticulous I need to be on cleaning process. Thanks.

Unless the GRAIN is wedged between the piston and the cylinder wall, it will be out the exhaust soon after you fire it up...
Carbon deposits regularly build up on the pistons and get dislodged without causing damage...but like was said previously, clean out all you can now before you button it up just to be on the safe side.
