Default cam question.....

hey guys im just kinda curious as to what makes a cam really lobe! ive been thinkin lately about doing a cam swap and i want something that will sound really mean and lobe extremely hard! i was looking for something around a 600 to 605 lift for my car. yes i will be gettin a bigger stall and prolly some different gears! i remember hearing a car around town and he had a 240/246 6xx/6xx. i forget the lsa. hope its not a stupid question thanks again.

i think you mean lope. a lower lsa will definetly lope harder.

the g5x3, g5x4, t-rex, fm14 will all lope hard and make some nice power up top. (over 400rwhp)

Check out this thread about overlap, made sense to me. https://ls1tech.com/forums/showthrea...kes+a+cam+lope

Use this formula to figure out overlap.

BTW, try the search option, you can find alot of good info from past threads.
