Default Tr224 Vs Fm4 Vs Fm11 ?

i need the best cam for a street only ,stock heads ,full bolt-on car. i dont care about emissions or idle quality, its all about the power range for street racing and daily driving(fast). does the extra duration and lift help me at all in between a 224/.563/112 and a 228/230/.595/112. Will either of these cams make 400+hp with stock heads+Full bolt-ons.

TR224 will make 400+ with bolt-ons and a decent tune. I bet with that and rockers youd def. see over 400 HP with a good tune.

For your goals I would go with something bigger than either one of those, with both intake and exhaust solidly into the 230 range. Maybe the TSP Magic Stick, or the one I just put in, TSP 235/240.

For the requirements you listed, your above choices are very mild. You want something in the 230x range.

Get a FM13 and be done with it. Get drivability and the power you want.

What gears do you have? You don't want to go too big if you have 3.42's or lower...

I have the F11 and love it. However knowing what I know now I'd go F13.

93Polo,
What do you mean by 'what I know now'? I'm toying with the FM11 or FM13, but not sure which direction I want to go. Did you find that the FM11 drive well enough that the FM13 probably wouldn't behave much differently?
Thanks.

My guess is that when he & I installed our cams a year or so ago, they were considered "big". Now everyone has figured out you can go larger with no problems. I love the way my F11 drives and it makes good power with bolt ons. (see sig). Although I am not going to swap bucause I am saving for a new motor in a year, I agree that for what you want you should go for at least the F13.....
