6.0L Heads
I finally got my heads from Absolute. But they are bare with only valves.
I will need to order a spring kit, rocker arms, studs, bolts and gaskets.
Couple q's
1. Can I just buy and use stock rockers and studs on these heads?
2. Anything else I need to buy?
I am thinking about just selling these and buy some fully assembled heads and not deal with this.

It's really not a headache at all.
I would use the stock rockers unless you have some money you needed to get rid of. You still have the stock rocker bars/locators?
Then I'd buy the Patriot Gold springs. I don't know if the springs come in a kit with locks and retainers, but you'll want them. Get the Ti retainers.
Then make sure you have the correct length pushrods.

I don't have any of the valvetrain except for the valves.
That is why was thinking about buying another set of heads.
I am guessing I will be spending another $500-800 to complete these. But I can spend another $800 and get a fully assembled set. :dunno:
Then sell this set.

Even an assembled set doesn't come with the rockers and rails...
You're going to pay just about the same for the springs and retainers on the assembled set minus a few bucks.
Are you replacing the heads on your current ride? or is this a new buildup?

You know you are right. I am just so flustered with Jay.
So I can just pull them off of my current set of 5.3L heads and use them?
I am replacing my 5.3L with 6.0L
Thanks for the help.

BTW springs, titanium retainers, cups and seals are 289.00 (PRC Kit) keepers are about 20.00 and we do not charge for shims. It shouldn't be hard to have them set up locally to you either. Just get around 140 on the seat (you will lose 10 psi after first heat cycle) and you should be good to go. (about 1.78 install height)

Not sure on the specs with the bench, but I will ask.
I have already ordered my spring kit. The heads should be complete hopefully in about 2 weeks. I am going to also have them CCed.
I don't mind spending the money. Just not twice.
Thanks alot guys.

Glad to hear you got the heads ( finally )! You have the patience of Job IMO.
Can't remember what motor you have, just keep in mind the flow rates when choosing a cam. It shouldn't affect ya too much.
